Evacuation Warning
A potential threat to life or property exists in your area. You are not required to leave yet: pack your go-bag, load the vehicle, and arrange transport for anyone who needs extra time, including people with mobility challenges and those with animals.
Evacuation Order
An immediate threat to life exists. This is a lawful order to leave now and the area is closed to public access. Leave immediately by the designated route and do not stop to gather belongings.
Grab
- Medications and glasses
- Phone, chargers, cash, cards
- ID, insurance, deed (or copies)
- N95 masks, water, snacks
Pets
- Carriers and leashes
- Food, water, bowls for 3 days
- Medications and vet records
- Photo of each pet with you
Before you leave
- Close all windows and doors (leave unlocked)
- Shut off propane / gas at the tank if safe
- Move patio furniture away from the house
- Leave a light on so crews can see the house
On the road
- Headlights on, windows up
- Follow official routes, not shortcuts
- Tell family where you are going
- Never return until officials say it is safe
