History and setting
Deschutes River Woods sits south of Bend in ponderosa pine and juniper along the Deschutes River.
Project Wildfire and the Deschutes County FireFree program have supported the neighborhood since the mid-2000s.
Residents host annual FireFree cleanup weekends and coordinate roadside chipping with Deschutes County RFPD #2.
