Evacuation

Know your plan before you need it

A safe evacuation is one you are already prepared for.

During an emergency, always follow instructions from your Sheriff, fire department, and official alert providers. This site provides preparedness information and does not replace official evacuation orders or emergency guidance.

Alert levels

Level 1 — Be Ready
Be aware of danger in the area. Sign up for county alerts, check your plan and go-kit, and consider leaving early if you or a loved one needs extra time to evacuate.
Level 2 — Be Set
There is significant danger in the area. Be prepared to leave at a moment's notice: load your go-bag and the 5 Ps, and leave now if you need extra time. This may be the only notice you receive.
Level 3 — Go Now
Danger is current or imminent. Leave immediately by the designated route and do not delay to pack or to prepare your home.
